New Site for Summer

a drawing of Scott in the style of the hello fellow kids meme

Welcome to a vastly revised and hopefully easier to understand website. Things have been quiet at the distro in some ways but quite busy in others. The biggest change is that I have decided to cancel the Shopify online store, partly because I don't like their politics but honestly mostly because it just wasn't worth the price for a business this small. I am working on integrating my Square payment processing in this site, so please bear with me as I sort that out. If you have a gift certificate from the old online shop, let me know on the new order form and I will apply it manually if need be.

As for my summer, the agenda for the forseeable future is:

  • Finish updating this website and my own site, plus a new Patreon site
  • Finish making some new comics and publish them
  • Get ready for a move within the next year

All quite achievable, I think. I also want to flesh out a couple of "side hustles" that I have been slowly gathering gear and ideas for:

  • a little merch making outfit called Out of Register
  • a page for comics theory and archive called Hackademics
  • a catalog of original art pages for sale

Thanks for visiting!

Kate Phillips' cover for The Usual

When an inexperienced barista accidentally starts serving mysterious (and possibly mystical) latte art, their co-workers and customers are bewildered. But it isn't easy becoming a beverage celebrity overnight, and the pressure is on to keep pouring impossibly stunning coffees.

"The Usual" is the most recent of five comics by Kate Phillips added to the BRB catalog. It won a 2023 Sequential award.

Colour, 2023, 24 pages, $16.
